Local Priorities Theft Of Motor Vehicles Message |
I wanted to provide an update regarding the theft of motor vehicles, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. Over the Weekend we have been busy on the Heston East Ward and other Heston Areas including Heston Heston West and Heston Central while working in these areas we have been able to find a number of stolen items including Moped and Bikes and return them to their rightful owners and find pre packed Bags of Cannabis and attend a number of incidents regarding Violence between people including a suspected Knife incident and Road Traffic Incidents. On all these incidents it has been so important to work with our residents and understand their concerns and worries. We understand that the relationship between the Police in the Local area and the Public we serve can only be strengthened if we work together and understand your needs. Due to that we will be holding more meetings so you can speak to us and meet with us to share your concerns and issues. We value you and all the efforts you make in the community and all the information you give us each piece of info you give helps us even though you may not think it is important each bit of info could be what is needed so continue to let us know. We know that people can be concerned about the personal and financial impact of having their vehicle stolen, which is why we will pursue and arrest those who break the law. Please consider taking the following steps to keep your vehicle safe:
If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years. | ||
