Dear Met Engage, I hope you are well. My name is Rahul Puri, and I am a local pharmacist working across Hillingdon. I wanted to make you aware of a community heart health screening initiative taking place at St Mary’s Church in Harmondsworth from 27th to 29th March, aimed at supporting residents across the Heathrow Villages area. Through our work locally, we are seeing many residents who have not had access to routine preventative health checks, often due to work patterns, accessibility challenges, or wider pressures affecting the community. This initiative aims to bring simple cardiovascular screening directly into the community, helping identify high blood pressure and cholesterol earlier and supporting residents with appropriate follow-up care. I understand there are a number of local community groups, resident associations and engagement platforms across the Heathrow Villages area, including those connected through local forums and networks such as the Heathrow Villages community engagement channels. It would be really valuable to explore how we could:
* share this initiative across local resident networks * engage with community groups in Harmondsworth, Sipson and Harlington * ensure residents who may benefit most are aware and able to attend
More broadly, I would welcome the opportunity to explore how we can support the community longer term, particularly around health and wellbeing, which I understand is an ongoing priority within the villages. Many thanks, and I would be very happy to discuss further. Kind regards, 07985262369 Rahul Puri Lead Clinical Pharmacist, Puri Pharmacy South Southall PCN Lead Pharmacist
