Arrest and Charge Following Drug‑Related Stop in Tadcaster

North Yorkshire Police has carried out further proactive action to tackle community concerns around drug dealing in the Tadcaster area.

During the afternoon of 19th March 2026, officers on patrol conducted a proactive stop which resulted in the arrest of a 27‑year‑old man for several drug‑related offences. Following investigative work, the male was charged and appeared before York Magistrates’ Court this morning.

This action forms part of our ongoing commitment to responding to residents’ concerns and taking robust steps to address drug‑related activity within our communities. 

North Yorkshire Police will continue to work closely with partners to target individuals who choose to blight our neighbourhoods with criminal behaviour.
