Vehicles Seized |

Yesterday officers from Southern Gateway seized two vehicles parked in a way that caused obstruction to pedestrians and other users of the road.
The first, a red Ford, was dumped on Annie Horniman Street and was blocking a fire exit and an unloading area for local businesses.
The second, a white BMW, was parked on double reds, completely obstructing the pavement, and partially obstructing a narrow street. A fire engine would not have made it down Pond Street without some difficulty!
Fines, as well as towing and storage charges, will now need to be paid before these motorists are able to take these vehicles back into their possession.
Most parking offences are up to the council or private parking companies to resolve – but if a vehicle is blocking the pavement, a road, or an exit, please do let us know online or on 101.
Also overnight the Special Constabulary seized a vehicle on Great Jackson Street as the driver had been resident in the UK for over 12 months but had not exchanged their license for a UK one. Please make sure your license and vehicle registration is compliant if you have moved to the UK, or your vehicle could be seized by GMP officers.
