Over the past few weeks, PCSO Quinby has been working closely with Firs Primary School to deliver important sessions around County Lines awareness and exploitation prevention.
These workshops have helped pupils understand: What County Lines is and how organised crime groups target young peopleHow to spot early warning signs of grooming or exploitationThe importance of speaking to a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel rightHow to stay safe online and in the community The children were fully engaged, asked brilliant questions, and showed a real understanding of how to keep themselves and their friends safe.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the staff and pupils at Firs Primary for their support and enthusiasm. By working together, we can help safeguard young people in our community and make Derby a safer place for everyone.
If you have concerns about County Lines or think a young person may be at risk, please contact us via the usual channels or speak to an officer in your local Safer Neighbourhood Team.
