Youths and Anti-Social Behaviour Updates |
||
|
Good morning,
Just to give residents an update on the following - Following anti-social behaviour in Worsthorne Village, some identified youths have now been spoken to by police.
There have been reports of youths knocking on doors and kicking footballs against doors in the Brunshaw area. Patrols have been called to these disturbances and it must be stressed that if anyone is caught taking part in such behaviour, especially that is repeated or targeted, there will be action taken by the police and/or local authority.
For parents and carers, please ensure if your children are leaving the house after schools and in the evening, especially to play games such as ‘manhunt’, hide and seek or similar, that you are aware of your children's location and speak to them about safe and considerate behaviour.
We work closely with schools, especially Brunshaw and Worsthorne Primary, and Unity College, to identify children involved in these incidents and it is a priority to ensure everyone has a safe and respectful community to live in.
Police and other emergency services will be attending the Community Day in Worsthorne tomorrow, on Church Square, between 11am and 3pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
Best wishes Em | ||
