Wandle Safer Neighbourhood Team – School Visit |
||
|
Wandle SNT recently visited Garfield Primary School to engage with pupils and provide a fun and educational experience. Children had the opportunity to meet officers, try on police hats and uniform, and take photos inside a marked police vehicle. They also enjoyed seeing the blue lights, hearing the sirens, and even pressing the horn. During the visit, we spoke to pupils about how to stay safe, including road safety, safe crossing, the importance of not talking to strangers, and what to do in an emergency – including calling 999 when urgent police assistance is needed. We also left them with colouring activities to continue learning in an engaging way. The children were fantastic and showed great enthusiasm throughout. We were especially touched by the lovely drawings and kind messages they created for us, including pictures of police cars and heartfelt notes such as “I love you”. A big thank you to Garfield Primary School for the warm welcome – we look forward to visiting again. | ||
