The Welwyn Hatfield District is the only district in Hertfordshire not to have a District Co-ordinator to look after Neighbourhood Watch. There are some people who are willing to assist committee wise but not take on the lead role. If there is a willing volunteer available please contact Keith Batchelor at keithbatchelor10@gmail.com Role SpecificationPrinciple Tasks: Engage with NHW Scheme Co-ordinators and other NHW members in your District as appropriate, enabling you to represent their views to the Police/other agenciesOversee Herts Connected from a NHW viewpoint in your District and work to recruit Scheme Co-ordinators where there are gapsDrive NHW activity, i.e. stalls at fetes and other events, working with Police to launch new schemes and maintain activity in existing schemesMaintain regular contact with your local Police Liaison Officer Represent your District on HertsWatchWhere possible attend the District Council Joint Action Group / other local meetings as representative of NHWAnticipated Time Commitment: Quarterly HertsWatch evening meetings (held at St Albans) 4 times a yearAttendance at the local Joint Action Group (JAG) where possibleSome time to deal with e-mails, paperwork, enquiries as generated by the roleResources: Some travel will be required and mileage at 45p per mile may be claimed from your district and from HertsWatch for attending their meetings.Training and support will be available |
