Several households have mentioned unexpected visits from people claiming to be from various organisations or offering services. In some cases, their behaviour has raised concerns.

What You Should Do

Use a door chain or look through a window before opening the door.

Ask for official identification from anyone claiming to represent a company or charity.

Do not let anyone inside your home unless you are completely certain who they are.

Never share personal details such as bank information, health details, or whether you live alone.

Do not feel pressured to buy anything or sign up for services on the spot.

If You Notice Suspicious Behaviour

Individuals going door‑to‑door without a clear reason.

People appearing to check properties, look through windows, or test whether homes are occupied.

Vehicles or persons acting in a way that seems out of place.

If you have concerns or feel unsafe, call 101 to report non‑emergency suspicious activity.

If you believe a crime is in progress or you feel threatened, call 999 immediately.
