Vehicle crime update - Paddock Wood |
||
|
Dear Residents.
Firstly I would like to warn residents of a recent series of incidents that relate to vehicle crime. Around a week or so ago, there was a slight spike in vehicle crime in Paddock Wood. This involved a car being stolen, a car being broken into and two vehicles having their number plates stolen. All of these offences have been followed up and looked into personally by PC Scudder and I, but I would urge every resident to take precautions to avoid becoming a victim in the future. Please look at the following links for specific crime prevention advice: Preventing car and vehicle theft: https://www.kent.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/keeping-vehicles-safe/preventing-car-vehicle-theft/ Prevent theft from a vehicle: https://www.kent.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/keeping-vehicles-safe/vehicle-safe-and-sound/
Whilst I urge residents to take steps in preventing these offences from taking place, we have worked on linking these incidents together and raising it to different departments and officers within Kent Police with a view of getting more patrols in and around Paddock Wood in addition to Louis and I.
Other than working on this series of incidents, Louis and I have been working on a range of different incidents, events and ensuring we provide as much high visibility patrol as possible. We will continue to work on the priorities of the residents of Paddock Wood, and I would urge everyone with a My Community Voice account to complete the survey available to you on this platform. This helps us shape what issues we focus on in the area and ensures that we are held accountable for dealing with those issues that are important to you.
Kind regards, PC Connor Geelan & PC Louis Scudder. Beat Officer's - Paddock Wood. | ||
