ASB TREND GOING VIRAL

Good afternoon,

We are aware of a viral ‘door‑kick’ challenge currently circulating online and causing issues within local communities, including here in Rugeley and Cannock. 

We’re asking parents and carers to please speak with their children about the serious consequences of taking part. What may seem like a quick prank online can have a very real impact on residents.

🔹 Anyone aged 10 or over is above the age of criminal responsibility. 

🔹 Taking part in this challenge can lead to criminal damage offences, which may result in fines (payable by parents/carers), formal warnings, or even eviction for those living in Trent & Dove properties. 

🔹 Repeatedly targeting an address can be treated as harassment.

It’s important to remember that having your door kicked can be deeply distressing and frightening, especially for vulnerable residents, families with young children, or those living alone.

We will be working closely with local schools and reviewing CCTV of any reported incidents. Anyone identified taking part may face criminal action.

We appreciate the community’s support in helping us address this issue and keep our neighbourhood safe.
