Dear Residents,
I am writing to inform you of an exciting new project that Northamptonshire Police are commencing in your area. Our aim is to reduce crime and create safe spaces that the community can enjoy again.
It is not fair that bad behaviours and affiliations of the minority should be allowed to impact upon others. This work will involve your local Policing team, taking all opportunities possible to disrupt criminal activity and to bring offenders to justice. We will be working with partner agencies to help us achieve this reduction and to improve the area for yourself and the wider community. For us to be as effective as possible, we need your help. If you have information or concerns, I urge you to report them so that we can be most effective in the way in which the team deploy. There are several methods that you can use to report crime and anti-social behaviour, some of which include the ability to report anonymously.
Reports can be made via telephone using 999 in an emergency or via 101 in all other cases. Reports can be made online by going to www.northants.police.uk and selecting “report”. Alternatively, you can contact crime stoppers anonymously using 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.uk. The team will also be available to speak to in person at any of our beat bus events which are advertised on our webpage, or you can email us directly at neighbourhoodteamnorthampton@northants.police.uk.
It is important that we focus on the issues that matter to you the most. To help us achieve this, members of the team will also be in contact soon to ask some questions about your experiences of the area. We will also be holding an open event on Thursday 19th March, 2pm at Spring Lane Primary School and invite you to come along and speak to the team. More information about this, including timings to follow.
Kind Regards | ||
