Joint Licensing Operation - Police and Oldham Council

On Monday 16th March 2026, Officers from the St James and Waterhead Neighbourhood Police Team carried out a joint licensing operation with officers from Oldham Council Licensing Dept on Ripponden Road / Huddersfield Road and Egerton Street areas of Oldham.

Several private hire vehicles were stopped for inspections and checks on the drivers and vehicles.

We were able to obtain some successful results which include -

Producers issued to drivers for breaching licensing conditions.

Verbal warning issued due to aggressive behaviour.

Traffic Offence Report (TOR) issued for failing to wear a seatbelt.
