Anti-social behaviour, South Molton |
||
|
The local policing team are aware of reports of anti-social behaviour taking place in East Street, South Molton.
Volunteers have recently planted numerous flowers across the various beds around the town, with only 3 days away from Spring it is disappointing to see that individuals feel it appropriate to damage/pull up the flowers and scatter them around the path as if it's some form of confetti.
The volunteers spend a lot of time trying to ensure our fantastic little town looks lovely throughout the year so please ensure that should you see any behaviour which is antisocial that you report it, providing us a description and any relevant information that can lead to us dealing with those responsible.
There are numerous ways in which we can deal with antisocial behaviour including through using community resolutions, which require individuals to complete certain tasks agreed with the victims. For example this could include cleaning up mess, or paying for damages.
We are keen to curb any reports of ASB but as you will hopefully understand we have competing priorities and a large area to cover therefore we simply are unable to be everywhere at once, however we will never be too far away.
To quote Sir Robert Peel from 1829 “The police are the public and the public are the police”. We all have a part to play in tackling crime and antisocial behaviour so please don't standby and just watch or post on social media, report it as per the below.
The Neighbourhood Team encourage any persons who experience anti-social behaviour, and anyone with information, to report this via our website or phone 101 in a non-emergency. Please phone 999 in an emergency. We aim to increase patrols where possible.
Kindest regards
