Neighbourhood Update

Hello, I hope you are doing well. It’s PCSO Priest here with the weekly Neighbourhood update.

What has our team been doing?

 Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have attended Milebrook Hall for our monthly Cuppa with a Copper. It was so good to speak to people who attended, where we could speak to the attendees about any concerns or enquires, they may have for an issue they may know about within the community giving some reassurance and answers.

Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have been doing a careers carousel at Four Dwellings Academy located on Quinton Road West. We spoke to years 3, 4, 5 and 6 about what officers of West Midlands Police do to help the community and the requirements to join the force, allowing us to give an insight on the ins and out of West Midlands Police.

What’s been occurring in Bartley Green

Since the last WMNOW message, we have received four thefts of a motor vehicle within the area of Bartley Green, as well as one report of tampering of a vehicle. We advise you to take out any valuables such as your phone or wallet to reduce the loss of items. We advise you to make sure your vehicle is locked and secured properly by installing a Disk lock making it hard for the offender to drive away and steal the vehicle.

Since the last WMNOW message, we have received a report of a dangerous dog within Bartley Green. We advise you to please be wary of other dogs when walking around Bartley Green, and to not get to close and keep your distance for your own safety.

Additional Information

We regularly deal with drivers who obstruct the footpath leaving no room for people to get past, as well as cars parking in a way where it obstructs your view of the road. But the issue we have is that we are not always there to tackle and deal with these issues in person. This helps us solves crimes but also helps to keep your community safer.
