Cold Callers

I would like to ask that those of you in the Community be very mindful of ‘Cold Callers’ knocking at your door, that may frequent your area, offering property maintenance services, such as , cleaning gutters, roof cleaning, masonery repairs and other similar repairs. 

Please be mindful that although there are many reputable companies that offer their services, there are also individuals that scam customers, leaving innocent victims of crimes that relate to money being taken without any work undertaken.

Always consider researching any company or persons who offer the mentioned services.

It's advisable to never have work carried out without having time to think on it, take a business card if you wish to do so but don't give deposits ot agree to any immediate work to be carried out the same day. 

Keep personally bank details safe. 

If you have any concerns around cold callers, you can refuse to open your door and ask politely for persons to leave. If you have concerns you can call 101 in a non emergency or 999 for an emergency.
