Good Evening Resident

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last two weeks, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of. 

The teams worked alongside Bromley Response Team conducting vehicle stops sights, a number of fines were given for drivers on their phones and for speeding offences. A car was stopped, searched, and a quantity of drugs were found, investigations are being conducted around this. The teams are aiming to conduct more of these targeted days over the coming months. 

The Beckenham team hosted a successful engagement stand in Sainsburys on Beckenham High Street, they had the opportunity to engage with several residents, providing crime prevention advice and signing people up to Met Engage. 

All four teams were a part of a large-scale motor vehicle operation; the teams were targeting prolific offenders who are involved in theft of motor vehicles and theft from motor vehicles. We were working alongside the Metropolitan Police Interceptors and the Vehicle Enforcement Teams, many vehicles were stopped, and driver checks were conducted, two prolific offenders were arrested and taken into custody with further enquiries being conducted. 

The Clock House Team have attended the Dorset Road Allotments to provide reassurance and crime prevention advice around burglary, and how to keep the allotments safe.
