Dear Residents,
Here’s a brief snippet of what our Smethwick Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week:
PCSO’s for the St Pauls area have also attended a the Brasshouse engaging with our local communities who attended the Aamon Women’s group offering advice and support where needed.
St Pauls PCSO’s have had a meeting with the Greggs Store in response to people begging outside Greggs, we are currently working together and offering support to the homeless peoples and working around long-term intervention plans.
St Pauls PCSO’s have conducted a cuppa with a copper at St Alban’s community centre which is focused around engaging with local communities who attend.
During our drop-in police surgery at Smethwick library by Smethwick town officers, we have spoken to the members of public that if they know of any other members of the community who attend this community centre to let us know if they are in need of any support and we will offer support where we can speak to a partnership agency.
Officers have conducted patrols all over Cape Hill high Street Smethwick high Street, Bearwood high Street, St Pauls High Street, detecting and preventing all unlawful behaviour to keep our local communities safe and reassured. These patrols will continue for the foreseeable future.
Smethwick town neighbourhood police We continue to work with the shops and their security staff If you happen to be shopping and see something suspicious that doesn’t look quite right, tell a member of the store staff or security – we all need to work together to stop these people. Remember – don’t ever approach someone you suspect. Your safety is important.
Smethwick town officers have been conducting Partnership working with Sandwell Civil Enforcement Officers traffic wardens tackling anti-social behaviour and unlawful inconsiderate parking.
Smethwick town officers have been conducting high visibility patrols in our local open spaces namely West Smethwick Park and Warley Wood and engaging with our local communities who attend the park working with our local communities
