Hi-Vis Foot Patrols – Heather & Ibstock

This morning I carried out proactive hi-visibility foot patrols around Heather and Ibstock, covering approximately 5 miles over a couple of hours.

During the patrol a number of engagements were made with the community:

Vehicle Obstruction

A vehicle causing an obstruction on High Street was located. Words of advice were given to the driver and the vehicle was moved on.

Community Engagement

Visited the local children’s home where we had some really positive interactions with the young people and staff. Further visits are planned.

Community Coffee Morning

Dropped in to the coffee morning at Ibstock Baptist Church, which was a great opportunity to chat with local residents.

Anti-Social Behaviour Patrols

Known ASB hotspot areas were patrolled as part of ongoing proactive work to deter issues in the area.

Public Engagement

Several positive conversations were had with members of the public and parish council members during the patrol.

It’s always great to spend time out in the community, listening to concerns and building relationships with local residents.
