Good afternoon Resident Here’s our weekly round up from the Tyburn neighbourhood policing team. What’s been happening: Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have made one arrest for a failure to attend a drugs assessment. A drug assessment (or substance use assessment) is a professional evaluation conducted by healthcare professionals, counsellors, or specialists to determine the presence, severity, and nature of an individual's substance use. Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have conducted a stop and search of an individual where they have found cannabis. Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have issued 3 community resolutions one for bullying, one for a shop theft and one for an assault no injury. Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have issued 2 community protection warnings for nuisance begging. Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers have issued 1 community protection notice for nuisance begging this means the offender is now arrestable if they were to offend again. PCSO’S have assisted with removing a 7.5 tonne lorry from the road (Wood Lane, Erdington) for no tax or insurance. The lorry had suspected stolen vehicle parts inside. PCSO’s have assisted with removing a car that was untaxed from the road (Cranwell Road, Erdington). Tyburn PCSO’s and Tyburn Neighbourhood Officers are always looking to remove any vehicles that cannot be left on the road by law. This is not only to enforce the law but also because if the vehicle is abandoned this can attract antisocial behaviour, also as vehicles decay, they can leak toxic fluids like engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and battery acid, which seep into the ground and contaminate groundwater. PCSO’s have found a hand bag and returned it to the rightful owner. Finally PCSO’S have conducted 2 Pop Up Police Stations. Have you heard of Ask the Police? It is an official Policing resource that provides Q&A’s to a variety of the most frequently asked policing questions. It offers an alternative to online non-emergency reporting, reducing calls to the police and freeing up resources. This does NOT replace 999 for emergency concerns. Home (askthe.police.uk) |
