Limehouse ward - Updates |
||
|
Hello Good People of Limehouse.
I would like to share a brief overview of incidents reported in Limehouse, along with some advice to help keep our community safe.
Theft There have been reports of parcels being stolen from communal areas within residential blocks along Narrow Street Unfortunately, this remains a common issue where parcels are left unattended in shared hallways.
If you are expecting a delivery and may not be home, please consider arranging for parcels to be delivered to a secure locker service such as InPost, a local collection point, or a trusted neighbour where possible.
We have also seen bike thefts from blocks in the Narrow Street area. We strongly advise all residents to register their bikes on the official BikeRegister. Registering your bike also helps us to identify stolen bikes and track theft patterns in the area. Please also use a good quality lock, as this makes your bike harder for thieves to steal.
Theft From Vehicle A theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Limehouse Causeway, where items were stolen from a parked vehicle. Please ensure vehicles are locked and that all valuables are removed before leaving your car. Items left on display can attract opportunistic thieves.
Burglary There have been reports of residential burglary within the ward, including in areas around Narrow Street. Officers continue to carry out patrols to help prevent further offences.
Residents living in blocks are reminded to be mindful of tailgating, where unknown individuals follow residents into buildings when access doors are opened. Please avoid allowing unknown persons to enter behind you and ensure doors close securely.
Anti-Social Behaviour & Vehicle Incidents
We have received reports of vehicle-related anti-social behaviour on Rich Street, causing nuisance to local residents. ASB warning letters have been sent to the registered keepers of the vehicles involved.
There have also been ongoing concerns regarding vehicle-related ASB and nitrous oxide use around Milligan Street, Narrow street and Three Colt Street, as well as drug-related behaviour and loitering around Roche House and Beccles Street.
Your local officers will continue to conduct patrols in these areas.
Police Activity Your Limehouse Safer Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out high-visibility patrols across the ward, focusing on burglary prevention, tackling anti-social behaviour, and addressing drug-related activity in our priority areas.
General Advice • Avoid leaving parcels unattended in communal areas. • Consider using parcel lockers or collection points if you are not going to be home. • Register your bike on BikeRegister and use a good quality lock to protect it. • Remove valuables from vehicles and ensure cars are locked at all times. • Be aware of your surroundings when using your phone in public places. • Report suspicious activity via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
Until Next Week
