Important Safety Notice: Parking and Traffic Concerns

Good morning,

I am writing to express serious concerns regarding parking and traffic behaviour around Parkgate School and Nursey at the start and end of school days, including the nursery change over times. We have received numerous complaints from residents regarding inconsiderate, unsafe and illegal parking.

Concerns raised include:

These actions are putting children at significant risk and disrupting the local community. Please show consideration for safety and the law, by ensuring you park legally and in line with the highway code. Even if that means a slightly longer walk, in the rain, which is one excuse a driver gave to me yesterday, when challenged, due to them parking on Zig-Zag lines, during the nursery drop off.

Enforcement action is planned to take place over the coming weeks at the school, and you will see and increase in Police and Council Officers in the vicinity, it is in your best interest to ensure you park correctly to prevent yourself from receiving a fine.
