Appeal after hate crime incident in Halesworth |

Police are appealing for help to trace witnesses to a reported hate crime incident in Halesworth.
It took place on Tuesday 10 March, sometime between 8:45 am and 9:05 am at a carpark on Angel Link, adjacent to the Angel Hotel, in the town.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, had just parked her car when she was approached by a man. Following a dispute about parking, the man is then reported to have shouted at the victim, using racial comments.
The victim was very shaken-up as a result.
On Wednesday 11 March, police arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with incident. He has now been bailed with conditions to return to police on 15 April 2026.

CCTV footage shows that there were several people in the area at the time of the incident, who may hold vital information to assist police enquiries.
