Male charged following possession of a stun gun.

Yesterday morning information was passed to Police suggesting a male was in possession of a weapon, following this we stopped a man who was found in possession of a large stun gun, which was subsequently seized.

Following further enquiries the male was arrested and later remanded in custody.

PC Dowdy of City Centre NPT3 said "Removing weapons from our streets is vital step in keeping our community safe. A stun gun is a dangerous device with the potential to seriously harm.
