Hello everyone, Your local police teams across Syon and Brentford Lock are continuing to respond to reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and burglary. We’re asking residents to take a few simple steps to help protect your home and valuables—especially gold, jewellery cash and bikes which remain common targets for burglars. How You Can Protect Your Home- Keep doors and windows locked even if you’re at home or only stepping out for a moment.
- Use timer switches to turn lights on in the evenings if you’re out.
- Keep valuables out of sight from windows or doors.
- Photograph and record serial numbers for jewellery and high‑value items.
- Avoid storing large amounts of cash at home. When possible, use a bank or safety deposit option.
Protecting Gold, Jewellery & CashBurglars often head straight for bedrooms and look for items that are small and easy to carry. Please consider: - Using a home safe that is bolted down.
- Storing gold and high‑value jewellery in multiple places, not just in one drawer.
- Keeping receipts or valuation certificates, which help us identify recovered items.
- Marking items using a property-marking kit where suitable.
Keep an eye out for Local BIKE MARKING events where we mark up your bike and register it for FREE so we can track it back to you, if it gets stolen. Help Us Tackle ASBIf you’re affected by anti-social behaviour, please report it. Every report—no matter how small—helps us build a clearer picture of what's happening locally so we can direct patrols at the right times and locations.
