๐ฎโโ๏ธ Community Update from PCSOs Beth & Julie โ Braunstone & Rowley Fields ๐ฎโโ๏ธ Good evening everyone, Itโs been a busy shift on the beat today, so hereโs a quick update on what weโve been up to across Braunstone and Rowley Fields: ๐น Safeguarding We completed a safeguarding report for a vulnerable resident within our area. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable members of our community remains a priority for us. ๐น Knife Recovered in Braunstone Park A member of the public reported a knife seen in the brook at Braunstone Park. We attended promptly, safely recovered the weapon, and it has now been disposed of in the amnesty bank. Thank you to the vigilant resident who reported it. ๐น Neighbour Dispute We were called to a neighbour dispute which has now been resolved. Appropriate words of advice were given, and all parties involved have been updated. ๐น Hotspot Patrols While carrying out hotspot patrols, we gathered some vital intelligence that will assist ongoing local policing efforts. ๐น Traffic Offence โ Vehicle Seized We also stopped a vehicle being driven by someone who only held a provisional licence and believed they were allowed to drive alone. As a reminder: No valid licence = No valid insurance. Under our new powers relating to traffic offences, the driver was reported for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and the vehicle was seized under Section 165A of the Road Traffic Act. Thatโs everything from us tonight. Stay safe, and enjoy the rest of your evening.
