Fly Tipping Update for your area

During our most recent local policing priorities survey, you told us you were concerned about fly-tipping in and around #Berkhamsted and #Tring.

In response, the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has been conducting patrols in hotspot areas, offering advice and working with local partners to help tackle the issue.

Yesterday (Monday 9 March), they carried out an operation alongside Dacorum Borough Council and colleagues from the Rural Operational Support Team (ROST).

It was aimed at checking waste carrier licenses, to ensure that waste was being transported and disposed of legally.

Around 40 vehicles were stopped, with one person issued with a Community Resolution for transporting controlled waste without registering as a carrier.

Fly-tipping blights the countryside, damages the environment and incurs huge clean-up costs for taxpayers and farmers.
