Glossop SNT - Community Speed Watch Event in Charlesworth today
PCSO Buller and 2 volunteers from the Hadfield Community Speed Watch team completed an event at Long Lane, Charlesworth this afternoon, Monday March 9th March- between 12.50 pm and 1.50 pm.
The speed limit on this road is 30 mph. During the event today the number of vehicles who went by the team was 374 of those 4 were recorded driving above 35 mph. with highest being 38 mph.
This location had been identified by local councillors and the residents of Charlesworth and is one of the Policing priorities chosen for this area. That’s why our groups target those areas which have been reported by the community as high-risk roads.
Our volunteers who run Community Speed Watch Groups give up their time because they care about their communities and want to help protect residents in their area.
Remember your voice can help to shape your community, so please use it to fill in our Community Voice survey.
If you are interested in finding out or joining/becoming a voluntary speed watch team member then please contact us: admincsw@derbyshire.police.uk
You can also visit www.derbyshire.police.uk > Community Speedwatch for more information on how the scheme works.
Once again thank you and well done from Glossop SNT to the 2 volunteers who conducted the event today. And thank you as always to our communities for their help in identifying concerns re speeding and their support in promoting road safety within our area.
