Damage to Police vehicles in Shotton

Following an incident on Milton Grove where a police vehicle was deliberately set on fire, I want to address something that should concern everyone in the community

This is now the second police vehicle damaged in Shotton in less than a week. That means there are two fewer police vehicles available to patrol the area, respond to emergencies, and attend incidents when members of the public need us

When police vehicles are deliberately damaged or destroyed, it’s not just the police that are affected, it directly impacts the service we can provide to the community. Those vehicles are used to get to people in need as quickly as possible, whether that’s responding to emergencies, supporting victims, or dealing with ongoing incidents

I’m honestly disgusted that anyone would think this kind of behaviour is acceptable. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and officers are working to identify those responsible. If anyone has any information that could help with the investigation, please come forward and speak to police.
