Dear Businesses and Residents,
At about 9:30pm on Tuesday 3rd March, officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Wood Street, in the Town Centre.
On arrival, Craig HADFIELD, 14/4/82 of no fixed abode, a prolific offender, was identified by officers. HADFIELD has a Community Behaviour Order banning him from Ashton Town Centre and was arrested for this offence after it being pointed out by Neighbourhood officers. He was also further arrested after officers identified him for a theft at ASDA on Cavendish Street earlier of over £400's worth of alcohol.
HADFIELD was charged for these offences and 2 previous shopliftings in the Oldham area and appeared before Magistrates on 4th March, where he was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment.
Community Behaviour Orders are imposed by the courts after painstaking work carried out by Neighbourhood Policing Teams to collate offences to put together an application for the order
Your Neighbourhood Team work diligently to insure that prolific offenders are dealt with in a prompt and effective manner.
