NEWBURY NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH / WEST BERKSHIRE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH MEETING |
||
|
Hi everyone
This is a reminder that the next Newbury Neighbourhood Watch / West Berkshire Neighbourhood Watch Meeting is being held on Wednesday 18 March 2026 starting at 7.15 pm in Kersey Hall at the Waterside Centre, Waldegrave Place, Northbrook Street, Newbury RG14 1DS (entrance down the side of Camp Hopson).
There is no parking available at the Waterside Centre but several car parks close by.
Our Guest Speakers will be:
Christian Noll who will be giving us a talk on AI (Artificial Intelligence).
PC’s Joshua Harrop and Stuart Davis will be giving a crime update and also Andrew Grist from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
If you have any particular issues that you would like comments on, please let me know so that the speakers can do some research and report back at the meeting.
Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting from all over West Berkshire, so please come along and bring any neighbours or friends, as it is important to have a good attendance for the speakers and I do appreciate your support.
Also advance notice that we shall be holding Neighbourhood Watch meetings on Wednesday 15 July and Wednesday 18 November 2026. Please note these dates in your diary.
If you do not have a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in your road and can set one up for me please, I can forward you more details. A scheme can be anything from 5 properties upwards and the main role of a Coordinator is to circulate the Alerts on crimes and scams to your neighbours either via email or posting on a WhatsApp or Facebook Group for your area. You will receive free signs, stickers, leaflets and discounts for your neighbours.
National Neighbourhood Watch have a website: www.ourwatch.org.uk which contains lots of useful information.
Very many thanks and best wishes
