On 05/03, during routine patrol work, our team were sat up at the roadside completing admin while also monitoring our ANPR systems. Many of you told us in our recent community survey that drug activity is a major concern for Wantage & Grove, and this is exactly the kind of proactive work your feedback helps shape.

While monitoring ANPR, a vehicle entered the area that matched intelligence linked to drug dealing locally.

Officers tracked it, stopped it safely, and carried out a search of the vehicle.
Inside, officers found 57 deal bags of Class A drugs.
A 27‑year‑old man from outside the area was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.
