Hello Custom House
I hope you’re doing well. Below you will find this week’s overview of street crime in Custom House.
Assault 04/03/2026 - A fight erupted between two females after the Suspect accused the Victim of staring at her and her slippers. This occurred in Lawson Close. 01/03/2026 - Your very own PC Tattam was assaulted after confronting two men in a Hammersley Road bin shed. One of the males was arrested. 01/03/2026 - A suspect has assaulted the victim and proceeded to chase them with a rolling pin whilst saying racial slurs.
Burglary 28/02/2026 – A residential burglary in Prince Regent Lane. Two suspects were caught on private CCTV breaking into a house and stealing cash and Jewellery. CID are investigating.
Criminal Damage 28/02/2026 – A group of youths broke a mirror outside an address in Shipman Road. 02/02/2026 – During a heated argument in Edwin Street, one of males damaged the other’s mobile phone by throwing it.
Harassment 01/03/2026 – One neighbour has threatened another in Burrard Road.
Theft From Vehicle 01/03/2026 - Two unknown suspects have interfered with victim’s vehicle in Macgregor Road. (Nothing was stolen).
Theft of a Vehicle 03/03/2026 – A Silver Ford Transit was stolen from Vic Dock Road.
Snatch 03/03/2026 – A cycle enabled phone snatch on Tollgate Road. Suspect was wearing all black whilst riding a black e-bike. 03/03/2026 – Male standing at a bus stop on Stansfield Road had their phone snatched out of his hands by a male on an e-bike.
In regards to the phone snatches, Police did chase a suspect on the 05/03/2026. During the chase the suspect got a puncture and fled out of sight on foot. But we do now have his black e-bike in our possession.
In other news, we joined LBN in clearing out and securing the derelict block at the bottom of Freemasons Road.
One of our current ward priorities is crime on the Kier Hardie Estate. We have been patrolling and made two arrests there this week. I would like to thank the community for their frequent updates on the issues affecting the area.
