What your local Officers have been up to!

Good Morning and Happy Friday Forest Gate South!

I hope you are all enjoying your day, and all have an amazing weekend!

We just thought we'd provide you a quick update on what your local Officers have been up to recently. Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team has been continuing proactive patrols across the ward, both in visible foot patrols and mobile patrols to tackle crime, address local priorities, keep the area safe and provide a reassurance to the local community.

Officers have arrested a well-known prolific drug dealer in FEBRUARY who was seen dealing drugs and was found in possession of multiple small wraps of drugs. Removing drugs from our streets remains a high priority for the team.

Officers also arrested two other individuals in late FEBRUARY for breach of court order and immigration offences.

During patrols this week, our eagle eye Officers; Lauren Dixon, Anna Regula and Szymon Nowak came across and seized four knives and one screwdriver, these were in our high risk areas and has removed a considerable amount of risk. Weapon sweeps such as these shows how important it is for us to always be on the look out for weapons, drug paraphernalia and any other items of risk. They are not always in obvious places, so taking the time out to conduct weapon sweeps is crucial.

Officers have also stopped electric bikes which are not following the legal requirements and have stopped and searched multiple individuals for drug activity and suspicious circumstances

Multiple Anti-Social Behaviour warnings have been issued to individuals involved in behaviour such as; rowdy behaviour and loud noise, congregating in large groups, littering and dropping drug paraphernalia, intimidation and loitering.

Please note, if these individuals breach their warnings and continue to offend, enforcement will escalate to stronger measures - which may include arrests and court review and action.
