Burglary Near You- HAYCLIFFE ROAD

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on HAYCLIFFE ROAD on Thursday 5th March, this occurred in the early hours of the morning between 0001hrs and 1129hrs and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

BETWEEN TIMES AND DATE STATED UNKNOWN SUSPECT/S FORCES ENTRY TO DOOR OF LOCUS BY FORCING THE LOCK. UNKNOWN SUSPECT/S HAVE THEN REMOVED COPPER PIPING FROM UPSTAIRS AREA OF THE PROPERTY BEFORE MAKING OFF.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Thursday 5th March 0000hrs-1200noon to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
