📱 Talking to Pupils About WhatsApp Safety & Bullying 💬✨

Yesterday we delivered an important session to pupils about staying safe online, with a focus on WhatsApp, group chats, and how our behaviour affects others.

We spoke to the children about:

How quickly messages and images can be shared

The impact unkind words or exclusion can have

Why forwarding rumours or screenshots is harmful

What to do if a message makes them feel upset, worried, or uncomfortable

The importance of speaking to a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right

We reminded pupils that being kind online is just as important as being kind in person, and that group chats should be a safe and friendly space for everyone.

Think before you send

Don’t join in with teasing or name‑calling

Never share someone else’s photos or messages without permission

Leave a chat if it becomes negative or unkind

Tell an adult if you see bullying happening
