Appeal for Information – Vehicle Break‑In, Carlton

North Yorkshire Police are investigating a vehicle break‑in that occurred on 27 February 2026 on Almond Tree Avenue, Carlton, between 14:45 and 14:50.

During this incident, suspects smashed the rear window of a van and stole chainsaws from inside. The victim had been working locally shortly beforehand and had briefly parked in the Oddfellows car park, leading to concerns that the suspects may have followed the vehicle home.

Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are appealing for CCTV, doorbell footage, dashcam recordings, or any information that may assist the investigation.
