County Lines Intensification Week |
||
|
Good Afternoon
South Wales Police are currently taking part in County Lines Intensification Week from 2nd March - 8th March to spread awareness of the issues involved.
County Lines is the name given to drug dealing where organised criminal groups (OCGS) use phone lines to move and supply drugs, usually from cities to smaller towns and rural areas. They exploit vulnerable people, including children and those with mental health or addiction issues, by recruiting them to distribute drugs, known as “Drug Running.”
Signs to look out for that may indicate someone is involved with County Lines - Criminal networks are known to use social media to groom and recruit children for county lines.
If you have any concerns regarding someone who you may feel could be involved in county lines, please don't hesitate to contact us via the appropriate channels.
For further information on County Lines visit the National Crime Agency County Lines website.
