Weekly Police Update Over the past weekend, we received a number of reports of anti‑social behaviour (ASB) around Halsted Park / Halsted Road, The Green, and Watling Street. Most of these incidents took place over a single night. Work is ongoing to identify those involved, and officers have been carrying out additional patrols in the affected areas. In relation to the off‑road bike previously reported on Castle Hill, targeted patrols have been conducted, and we are pleased to confirm that no further reports have been received. We can also report that no burglaries have been recorded this week.
How We Tackle ASB ASB can have a real impact on communities, so we use a proactive and layered approach. This includes increasing high‑visibility patrols in areas where issues have been reported, gathering CCTV, witness accounts and intelligence to identify those responsible, and working closely with local partners such as councils, housing associations and youth services to address underlying causes. We also engage directly with those involved, which can involve home visits, warnings and, where necessary, enforcement action. Legislation and powers such as Community Protection Warnings and Notices, Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and, when appropriate, criminal proceedings are used to prevent further issues. Community information remains vital. Your reports help us identify patterns, hotspots and individuals involved, so if you witness ASB or have any information, please continue to report it to us.
Beat Priorities Our current Beat Priorities remain burglaries, anti‑social behaviour and speeding. | ||
