County Lines Intensification Week 2026 |
||
|
Dear Residents, We, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team, would like to make you aware that County Lines Intensification Week is taking place between 2nd and 9th March 2026.
County Lines is a form of organised crime where criminal networks exploit vulnerable people, including children and adults, to transport and sell drugs. This activity can lead to increased violence, anti-social behaviour, and the exploitation of individuals within our communities.
During this week of action, the Metropolitan Police is carrying out targeted enforcement and safeguarding activity across London. We are also asking residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may be linked to drug dealing or exploitation.
Some possible signs of County Lines activity include: • A high number of short visits to a property at all times of the day or night • Unknown people regularly entering or leaving a property • Young people being collected by vehicles or travelling to areas they would not normally visit • Individuals carrying multiple mobile phones or frequently changing phones • Vulnerable residents appearing to be controlled, threatened, or having their home used by others (sometimes called “cuckooing”) • An increase in drug-related litter or anti-social behaviour in the area
How to report information: If you see something that doesn’t feel right, please report it: • Call 999 if a crime is happening now or someone is in immediate danger. • Call 101 to report non-emergency concerns to the Metropolitan Police. • You can also report information online via the Metropolitan Police website. • To remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
Information from residents is extremely valuable and can help us safeguard vulnerable people and disrupt criminal activity.
If you have any ongoing concerns in the neighbourhood, please feel free to speak with a member of our team – your local Neighbourhood Policing Team, when you see us on patrol.
Thank you for your continued support in helping keep our community safe.
Kind regards, Hounslow East Neighbourhood Policing Team Metropolitan Police Service
