Dog Fouling

Good Evening Resident,

We have been in Darwen town centre today following issues raised in the community regarding dog fouling.

Dog fouling is regularly highlighted as a concern for local residents, whilst this is primarily dealt with by the local council we have been able to support an initiative by a local Darwen resident in respect of signage and poo bags. We will be trying to get these up in more areas of the community in the coming weeks where residents have highlighted this as a concern. 

We will be working alongside the council and the local councillors who in the coming weeks will be supporting this initiative with signage and we will be looking to issue fixed penalty notices to anyone who is seen to not clean up after their dog.

We would like to extend our thanks to businesses specifically Pets Range/Pets Choice, Pets at Home and Jollyes who have been kind enough to provide poo bags for this initiative.
