Police are investigating a burglary in your area that occurred on 04/03/26 sometime around 01:20 hours on Gillygate in York where persons have broken through a window on a property on Gillygate and gained entry to the building.

Do you have any information that may help in our investigation such as CCTV or ring doorbell footage or did you witness anything yourself such as person/s loitering in the area..

Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?

Security Advice

Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.

Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.

Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property.
