Disrupting drug dealers |
Good afternoon Resident,
On Saturday 28 February, officers from the Upminster and St Andrew’s Safer Neighbourhoods Teams stopped and searched a car and it’s occupant. Officers seized 40 wraps of suspected class A drugs, cash and several mobile devices. A man was arrested for drugs offences, investigation continues. Officers continue to carry out regular proactive patrols across Havering, including in open spaces and car parks, to tackle crime and anti‑social behaviour. This incident highlights the effective work being carried out by neighbourhood policing teams, even during high‑demand periods. Insp Mark Connolly: “Drug dealing and anti‑social behaviour will not be tolerated in Hornchurch or Upminster. Officers will continue to patrol the area through extended patrol plans to keep our communities safe.” Residents who have concerns about crime or anti‑social behaviour in their area are encouraged to contact their local neighbourhood teams for local policing updates and information. Please use the online reporting at Report a crime | Metropolitan Police or call 101 for non‑emergencies, and 999 if a crime is in progress. | ||
