Please be aware of phone snatching

Dear Ward members,

Please be reminded to stay alert and take precautions when using your mobile phone in public areas. There have been incidents of phone snatching near the St. John's Wood Tube, Abbey Road and Grove End Road. Take care especially when stepping of the tube, where the first thing many people do is take their mobile phone out, an opportunist may be on a scooter near by watching, they will ride past (go on the pavement) snatch you phone, have face covered by helmet, and make off at speed. This can happen at all times during the day, we have however noticed a rise in the evenings.
