Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries Catalytic Converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 19th February 2026 to 26th February 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough.
Arrests. There were 44 arrests in the period February 19th 2026 to February 25th 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 8, Rape/Sexual Offence 6, Drugs 2, Prescribed Limit 1, Violent Crime in a Public Place 2, Violent Crime other 2, Harassment/Stalking 1, Master Occurrence 6*, Child Protection 1, Child at Risk 1, Crime Other 3, Theft 4, Robbery 1, Burglary Business and Community 1, Fraud 2, Sudden Death Non Suspicious 1, Custody Issue 1, Absconder/Wanted 1. *A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.

Bicycle Thefts There was one residential garage or shed burglary resulting in a bicycle theft reported this week.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been two reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. The reports include the Financial Abuse of a vulnerable person.
Residential Burglary Crime Prevention Advice There have been reports of residential burglaries since the New Year where the suspect(s) have gained access through a first floor window. Most of these reports involve properties located in the North of the Borough. Please consider the following advice: CCTV & video doorbells Video doorbells and CCTV that cover access routes can act as a deterrent and may provide valuable evidence if suspicious activity occurs. To get the most benefit, make sure your system allows recordings to be saved and accessed if required. Motion-sensor lighting adds another layer of protection and helps capture movement early.
