Good News Stories 

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last week, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of.  

Sgt Simcox is leaving the Beckenham and Shortlands team to go to a different role within the MET. In the short-term Sgt Adams will be supervising all four teams. The Shortlands team have also welcomed PC Williams should you see him around please feel free to speak with him. 

The Shortlands team conducted a schools talk this week, ensuring children are being safe in school and around the local communities. The school’s team have also conducted several school visits and school talks.

The team had been apart of the proactive bus, tackling ASB in and around the Beckenham Area, this has included work around Beckenham Sainsburys carpark with youths hanging around. The youths were engaged with; there was no criminal/ASB issues. 

Shortlands had their panel meeting, with residents, they have discussed what the team have been doing and the priorities that the team can focus on until the next meeting. 

The teams completed a successful engagement day on Beckenham Green, many of the residents had an opportunity to have their Phones and Bikes marked, these will help police investigations should someone become a victim of crime in the future. All 4 teams were at the event and had a chance to speak with many of the residents, we also had a police vehicle at the event that many of the children got to look at and try out some of the equipment.
