Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |

Dearest gentle reader,
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ This week the Bordesley green neighbourhood team made numerous arrests across the Bordesley Green area, for priority offenders who were outstanding for offences across the country. Making arrests for outstanding offenders across our local policing area has been and will continue to be a priority for our team.
Our team also conducted a MARSO operation alongside the Road Harm Prevention team, whereby numerous vehicles were stopped by officers and ticketed for traffic related offences. Officers from our team issued tickets for numerous traffic violations such as and not limited to driving without valid insurance, parking on restricted zones and for vehicles having illegal tints covering their windows. Not only will the tickets issued cost the driver a pretty penny, points will also be issued for certain offences. We have previously conducted similar operations and will certainly continue to do so.
We would also like to share that our officers are regularly ticketing vehicles for being parked in dangerous manner, meaning that the owner/registered keeper of the offending vehicle will be issued with a £100 fine as well as 3 penalty points on their driver’s license. Those that dispute the tickets must provide our ticket office with the details of the offender who committed the traffic offence, else the fine will be given to them. We can confirm that hundreds of tickets were issued across our local policing area across February 2026 and further tickets have already been given on 1st March 2026 #YouSaidWeDid.
St Paul's Church is a location that we frequently use to host our ‘Cuppa with a coppa’ sessions, these sessions are for the community to attend to speak with us directly and address any concerns that they may have. It also allows for us to clarify the actions that we are taking to tackle crime and provide our community with this information. Female-only sessions are hosted at St Paul's Church, in our campaign for violence against women and girls. It provides a safe space for women and girls to attend to speak to local female officers about their concerns.
An officer for our team attended Heartlands Hospital Charity Dinner this week, to show our support to fellow emergency service workers. Thousands of pounds were donated to charitable causes that went directly cancer wards at your local hospital.
Sergeant Allen attended a nursey with his police equipment to speak to our young people and make them aware of how they can keep themselves safe. They were also shown our police equipment and vehicles, which left them speechless. 📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅 Provide details of upcoming policing events or opportunities for the community to meet officers and engage directly.
As always please stay vigilant, ensure your vehicles/homes are locked and secure at all times throughout the day. Those with Gold within your homes, please note that we are seeing an increase in Gold thefts.
