Hello Resident,
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅ Just like that, another week has passed. We have seized vehicles for a number of offences, conducted Stop Searches, dealt with an individual in Custody, and proactively patrolled all of our areas. If you see us when we're out and about feel free to come and say hello and discuss any problems you have with us!
On Thursday, two of your Designated Neighbourhood Officers (DNO's) along with our Sergeant, attended a multi-agency meeting at the Bumblehole Nature Reserve to discuss the issue of Off-Road bikes across the area. Present were a number of representatives from Sandwell Council, Dudley Council, Bumblehole Volunteers and our colleagues from Rowley Regis Neighbourhood Team. It was a productive meeting, and rest assured that there will be significant progress in this area over the coming weeks and months! Everyone involved is highly motivated to do what we can to minimise the disruption caused by Off-Road bikes.
We held our Buffery Community Meeting on Friday - it was great to see members of the community there! Whilst other issues were raised, it became clear that Buffery Park was a trouble spot. As a result, we have increased our patrols of the park (something you may have seen a photograph of if you follow us on ‘X’ (Formerly Twitter). This is only the beginning, and we will look to continue this momentum over the coming months.
In the next few weeks we will look to conduct dynamic operations targeting the things that matter most to you, including Speed Operations, Pro-active patrols of the trouble spots you have let us know about, and enforcement action based on the intelligence you provide to us. It is important that you let us know of anything suspicious that is causing an issue for you so that we can tailor our efforts to resolve the issues that matter the most to you!
📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements 📅 See below our next few booked Community Engagements over the next few weeks. These are brilliant opportunities for the community to meet their local officers and engage directly with us!
✅ Crime Prevention Tips: As always, it is vital that you're mindful of your personal security. Keep your windows and doors locked at all times, and consider additional steps such as Security Lighting, CCTV systems and Video Doorbells.
You should also consider taking additional steps to keep your vehicles secure such as Faraday Pouches for the keys, and Steering Wheel locks.
When you park your vehicle, please make sure you take some simple steps to keep you and your belongings safe. Make sure you always lock your vehicle, and do not leave your valuables within view. Take your belongings with you at all times!
