Good Afternoon Reddish,
This week I had the pleasure of visiting a local school with St Elisabeth's Primary School to speak with students about the role of a Police Constable and how we work within the community to keep people safe.
It was fantastic to see how engaged and curious the students were — their questions showed real awareness, confidence, and a genuine interest in making positive choices.
Building relationships with young people is such an important part of what we do. Sessions like this help break down barriers, encourage open conversations, and give students the chance to learn about policing in a way that’s honest, approachable, and relatable.
A huge thank you to the staff and pupils for the warm welcome.
Mrs Batson year 3 teacher at St Elisabeth's said “ To PC WOOD and her excellent team, THANKYOU from all the children and staff in lower key stage two at St Elisabeth's. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and had a marvellous time!”
