DONT BE A VICTIM OF E-BIKE MOBILE SNATCHERS

Dear Resident,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to address a concerning issue that has been brought to my attention earlier today. 

It appears that some males utilising e-bikes have been engaging in alarming behaviour, specifically attempting to grab mobile phones from unsuspecting individuals at bus stops or while they are casually walking with their phones in hand. 

This trend of using e-bikes for criminal activity, particularly mobile phone theft, has escalated into a significant and troubling problem within our community.

E-bikes, which are often silent and can be modified for increased speed and stealth, provide an advantageous means for these individuals to approach their victims without drawing attention. 

The perpetrators can swiftly ride up to someone, snatch the phone right out of their hands, and then quickly ride off at high speed, making it difficult for anyone to intervene or even report the incident in real time. 

This method of operation poses a serious risk to personal safety and the sense of security that we all deserve in our neighbourhoods.

I urge everyone when they are out and about to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings, especially when using mobile devices in public spaces.
